The night before Christmas eve i went out for drinks with 2 co workers from Denevi and an ex coworker of the same establishment. One of the coworkers paid for drinks for the four of us so needless to say i indulged myself and had a margarita, a daquiri, and two beers. I was a bit tipsy. Talk at the table consisted of the politics of the establishment in which we worked, and the goings on of each other's social lives and such. One thing that caught my attention was when the coworker who was paying for drinks told me (not for the first time) that the man who runs the place dislikes me. But now that i am under employ of his father, and not for the company, that he's scared. When i asked why i was told that he's called me an asshole to a few of my other coworkers and now that i'm back, it's caused a bit of unrest in his circle. Fuck it. After drinks, we went to the former coworker's apt. and had more to drink, which wasn't the smartest of moves on my part because i was shitfaced after two snifters of bourbon. The aforementioned coworker was kind enough to drive me home, whereupon i puked and passed out. The next day was hangover city.
Anyway, i believe said manager has exhausted his last vestige of power over me. The Friday following Christmas, the very same coworker sent me a text that read "hey, just so you know I've been told to block access to the internet on your work station. sorry." My response was "Whatev." cuz who gives two shits?
But yeah, i've been feeling lonely lately. The friend I have who is the closest to me lives in Washington. He was down recently and i only got the chance to see him for one day. Which is lame. Also, i know it shouldn't bother me but recently i had noticed that Julia, my ex, had been being rather short with me and i asked her about it and she said that she needed the space to get passed the relationship. Basically meaning that she didn't to talk to me any more until an unspecified date. which is kind of shit, if you ask me. She should've told me this back in august, when we broke up. Now when ever i see her screen name online its like there's a wall blocking me from talking to her or even saying hello.
I've also been feeling kind of unfulfilled. One reason being that i'm not sure if i've finished my community college, Chabot, because the final didn't go so well for anyone in that class really, and apparently i have a hold on my record so i can't view my grades. I can't pay the fee online because it isn't available, which means i have to go in and pay, but i can't do that either because the offices are closed until tomorrow, i believe. All of that is well and good but i should already have registered for classes at Cal State but I'm not able to because they haven't received my transcript, which they won't receive until i pay my holds which i can't do until tomorrow. So i might have to forgo the winter quarter which i've already paid my enrollment fee for and i'll have to wait until spring quarter, which sucks. That is of course, if i even passed the fucking math class that i'm waiting on.
Another reason is that i'm 23 and just now starting my Junior year in school, when most of my other friends have graduated by now and are starting on their careers. I'm honestly not very motivated to do anything artistic and i don't know how to sell myself to employers. I also don't know where to find a decent employer save for craigslist and the like. So i just feel defeated i guess. I know also that the only way to get ahead is to keep trying. So i press on. I feel like if i can find a job that will pay me decently they won't let me go to school cuz more often than not those kinds of jobs are 9-5's. oh well.
On to lighter things. A few nights ago my friend Matt hit me up to go to The Gold Club, a strip club in the city, as a send-off party for my friend Eric who is leaving to go back to Washington. It was pretty fun, my friend Aaron spent most of the evening at a table near us talking to this couple who gave him some wine. I joined them later and talked a bit with them and then they gave me some wine. haha. Randomness. A few of my friends got lap dances and found that the ATM in the front of the place had a ten dollar surcharge. suckers. After the club we were on our way home, mind you i had to get some sleep because Uncle Paul and I were heading to Merced at six am the next morning, but our car happened to drive next to a car full of 3 gals. My friends of course spit their finest game and we all ended up going to Mel's Diner. I ended up not getting home until roughly 4:30 am. I actually got to sleep at about 5, slept for about an hour and went out with my uncle at around 6. Needless to say i was roughly dead at around 4pm the next afternoon. I ended up falling asleep at about 6pm and waking up at 11am this morning. yay for sleep. k bye friends who actually read my drivel.
