shitty days

but first. saturday:
on saturday i went to wolf camera to see if they could remove a lens filter that was stuck on my lens pretty good. the first girl i asked said there wasnt anything they had that could remove the filter. the guy working said that if i used a rubber band it should work. so he tried it, and it didn't work. i motioned to take the lens back and he says i have one more thing that might work and grabs a grip wrench and proceeds to start trying to twist off the filter. suddenly i hear a *pop* and i asked him "did you break something?" and he said no. and handed me back the lens. i test it on my camera and the autofocus ring is broken. at this point my dear associate grant is helping another customer. so i wait. he finally comes back and says "can i help you? and i said "yeah, you broke my lens". and he goes "well i mean it was kind of a shit lens. and you did ask me to take it off." and i said "yeah, but instead of doing that, you broke it." and he says "what do you want?" and i said some form of compensation. and naturally he asks what. i said "how bout a gift card?" and he looks at me and goes "...for?" and i said "$50" and he said "ok, but i'm just letting you know, if i looked through Ritz' other stores i could fing=d this lens for $30, but i'll give you the $50. i'm gonna write a letter to their corporate offices.

for the most part anyhow sunday sucked. i got up relatively early at julia's cuz the cat kept waking me up. and when we all got up i went to brunch with a bunch of her friends. i didn't talk much mostly cuz they all had their own stories to tell each other. which was eh. so we get back to her apt. and i was planning on taking the rest of the day to try and understand statistics for my test tomorrow. however i forgot that she wanted to go to this indiemart thing in sf at the parkside in sf. cuz her friend had a booth there. and so i kept being guilted into going and when i finally consented she was upset that i was upset and didn't want to go anymore. and we kind of got into it. and i got really upset because this math class is seriously stressing me out. when i told her what i was feeling she became seriously apologetic and held me as i vented. i expressed my concerns about my life and school and what was going on she understood. and i said i didn't wanna think about it for a while. so we ended up going out to sf for a bit. it was cold and we saw her friend's cupcake booth. they did really well apparently out of 400 cupcakes made 396 were sold. afterwards we got back and ordered a pizza and watched some episodes of Entourage. i decided to start trying to study to see if i could salvage anything out of my math. I couldn't put anything together so i called a few friends to see if anyone could help me. Rob finally answered the call so i left julia's to go to his place.

i get to Rob's and we lay into the book. I figure out some more shit that i wasn't getting and then i got stuck again. Rob realized that my teacher is teaching things that his teacher didn't even require him to know. Rob also said that my math book was confusing and was explaining how to execute principles well. so he gave up trying to help and i ended up going home. i figure now that i'm pretty much fucked. i'm gonna talk to someone at cal state East bay and see if i can take a math class there when i transfer.

upon getting home i got in my pjs and perused the internet. i came across a blog from a girl who i thought was my friend of mine (she's also a co-worker). it said :

"The one person who I find to be the most boring person I have ever met made a blog, and named it, "The way to be boring is to say everything".
Which is exactly what he does. He never shuts his boring mouth"

so thats pretty awesome. considering i just made a new blog with that exact quote as my title. i mean obviously it was about me. so i replied in kind with a bulletin that said:

well kudos to you for trying to keep it to yourself and not start work drama. but before you write posts and shit, check who's on your friends list. unless that was your intent. to which i take back my kudos, and i say get some balls and tell me you dont like me. shady ass.

which was probably not the most mature thing i could have done. i'm just not gonna talk to her anymore. and i mean, i've fuckin had it with that job. they don't pay over time, my boss doesn't like me. i guess my friends dont like me. and the pay i do get is shit. so i'm gonna look for new work and see what goes on there. bleh. FML right mace?

the other day i was hanging out with mace and shawn and whoever else. and mace said "hey dude, if you wanna fix up your car i have the stuff at my house, just bring it over" and so a few days after that i did just that. and mace shawn and i cleaned the car, used a clay bar on it, waxed it, removed the stickers and decals, got rid of the seat covers to find that my 20 year old car has super nice seats still, and cleaned the windows and the interior vinyl/ plastic. it looks so nice now.

here's how it looked when i first bought it

and yes i realize that the pictures don't make it look much different. but if you saw the car you would know what i was talking about.
honestly though i really appreciate that my friends would do that for me. shawn even lets me come over to the shop so he can look at my car if i'm having an issue. a guy couldnt ask for better friends.

also matt has been calling me to hangout a lot lately and that in itself makes me feel pretty good. just cuz it means people want me around. you know? one night we all went out to dennys at like 2 am. and when we got back my car was gone. at first we thought it was towed and after calling san leandro pd as well as the alameda county sheriff's dept. and hearing that they had no record of it we thought it was stolen. so they said they'd send a sherrif to come take a report. matt basically had me stay at his house to wait for the cop to come and tell me what was up. cop didnt show up for like 3 hours so i stayed in matt's living room until about 6am when the cop finally did get there. matt then took me to the impound lot to get my car back. luckily they didnt charge me for a day of impound and only for the tow so that was cool.
